About RagingMonk
01
+
What does RagingMonk do?
RagingMonk is a hospitality brand, launch and growth agency in Sydney NSW and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We take concepts from idea to open doors — covering brand identity, digital presence, marketing, AI automation, and launch operations — then hand your team a system they can actually run. We're not a production house. We're co-builders with skin in the game.
02
+
How is RagingMonk different from a traditional agency?
We're founders and operators first. We've built and run 8+ ventures ourselves — Thai restaurants, Korean BBQ, hospitality brands, tech platforms. When we work on your project, we bring the experience of someone who has put their own money on the line, not just delivered a brief. We don't vanish at launch. Every engagement ends with your team empowered to operate what we built.
03
+
Where is RagingMonk based?
Sydney, Australia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We operate across both markets and work with clients internationally. Our dual presence gives us Western and Southeast Asian market fluency — useful if you're building for either or both.
04
+
What industries do you specialise in?
Primarily F&B, hospitality, lifestyle, retail, and founder-led service businesses. We have deep operational experience in these categories — we understand the language, the margins, the timelines, and the failure modes. That said, the brand, digital, and AI disciplines we use transfer across sectors. If the problem is interesting and the founder is serious, we'll have the conversation.

Who We Work With
01
+
Do you work with early-stage founders with just an idea?
Yes — particularly founders with a clear concept and the conviction to move. We have a create phase designed to pressure-test ideas before committing to build. If the concept is solid, we'll know quickly. If it needs work, we'll tell you before you spend the money. We'd rather kill a bad concept early than produce a beautiful brand for a business that won't work.
02
+
Do you work with established businesses?
Yes. We often work with operators who have a running business but need to level up a specific part of it — rebranding ahead of an expansion, building a tech layer to replace a manual process, or integrating AI into an operation that's outgrown its current tools. Some of our most impactful work has been for businesses in their third or fourth year.
03
+
What size businesses do you typically work with?
Mostly small to mid-sized founder-led businesses — anywhere from a single-concept launch to a multi-location operator. We work best when we have a direct line to the decision-maker. Our model isn't built for large corporate procurement cycles, but we're well-suited to ambitious businesses that need to move fast and think clearly.
04
+
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. We work remotely with clients across Asia-Pacific and beyond. Our primary markets are Australia and Southeast Asia, but the work isn't geography-dependent. We're fluent in English and Vietnamese, and we've worked on projects spanning Singapore, Malaysia, the US, and the UK.
05
+
What does a client need to have ready before engaging us?
Not much more than clarity on what you're trying to build and a genuine readiness to act on feedback. You don't need a deck, a brand name, or a finished business plan — but you do need a clear problem you're trying to solve and the budget to solve it properly.

Services

+
What services does RagingMonk offer?
RagingMonk offers seven services: Brand Development (positioning, naming, visual identity, verbal framework, guidelines), Business Launch (concept development, go-to-market, launch campaign — our Foundry programme), Marketing & Growth (social, paid media, influencer, email/CRM, PR — our Catalyst retainer), Digital Presence (website, Google Business Profile, local SEO, photography and video direction), Interior Fitout Strategy (design direction, environmental branding, fitout project management), AI & Tech (content automation, workflow optimisation, tech stack advisory), and vCFO & Corporate Advisory (on-demand CFO, capital raise, exit planning). See our full services page for detail.
02
+
Can I engage just one service — brand only, no digital?
Yes. Brand & Identity is a standalone service. We scope it as a full positioning and identity system — strategy, naming, visual identity, verbal framework — that any build partner can work from. That said, when we do brand and digital together, everything integrates more cleanly.
03
+
What's the difference between Foundry and Catalyst?
Foundry is our launch engagement — a scoped project with a defined outcome. We build the brand, digital presence, and systems, hand it over, and you run. Catalyst is our ongoing retainer — for businesses that want RagingMonk embedded as their growth partner on a monthly basis. Most clients start with Foundry and stay for Catalyst.
04
+
Do you build mobile apps?
Yes. We build web apps, mobile apps, and internal tools. We scope the platform to the actual use case — we won't build a native iOS app when a progressive web app does the job, and we won't build a PWA when the use case genuinely needs native.
05
+
How do you integrate AI into projects?
We identify where AI creates genuine leverage — content operations, workflow automation, customer-facing tools, or operational intelligence — and build it into the system from the start. We don't add AI for optics. We add it when it makes the operation faster, leaner, or more scalable, and we wire it in so your team can actually use it without needing a data scientist on staff.
06
+
Do you do ongoing social media management?
Yes, as part of Catalyst. This includes content strategy and planning, content production (copy, design, video direction), scheduling and publishing, community management, and monthly performance reporting. We treat social as a growth lever, not a posting calendar.
07
+
Can you work alongside our existing suppliers or team?
Yes. We often integrate with existing teams — whether that's an in-house designer, an ops manager, or a supplier you trust. We're collaborative by default. If there are dependencies that affect the work, we'll surface them at scoping.

Pricing
01
+
How much does it cost to work with RagingMonk?
Brand & Identity starts from AUD $24,000. A brand plus digital presence engagement typically runs AUD $40,000–$65,000. A full Foundry launch (brand, digital, marketing, AI, ops) is AUD $60,000–$120,000. Catalyst retainers start from AUD $3,500/month. These are real ranges — not teaser numbers designed to get you on a call.
02
+
Do you charge by the hour or by project?
Project-based pricing for fixed scope work, retainer-based for ongoing Catalyst engagements. We don't charge by the hour because it misaligns incentives — it rewards slow work and punishes efficiency. You pay for the outcome, not the clock.
03
+
Is there a minimum engagement budget?
Our minimum project engagement is AUD $12,000 for a focused scope — typically a standalone website or a brand refresh with limited deliverables. Below that threshold, we can't do the work properly, and we'd rather refer you to someone who can.
04
+
What does a brand-only engagement include and cost?
A brand engagement typically includes: brand strategy and positioning, naming (if required), visual identity (logo system, colour, typography), verbal identity (tone of voice, messaging framework), and brand guidelines. Cost: AUD $24,000–$45,000 depending on scope.
05
+
What does a full launch package cost?
A full Foundry launch — brand, website, Google/local SEO setup, social presence build, marketing automation, AI tooling, and go-to-market strategy — runs AUD $60,000–$120,000 depending on complexity. This is for founders building from scratch who want to arrive at launch day with a complete system.
06
+
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Most project engagements are structured as milestone payments — typically 40% to start, 30% at midpoint, 30% on completion. For larger Foundry projects we can discuss monthly payment structures. Catalyst retainers are invoiced monthly. We don't require full payment upfront.

How long does a project take?
Brand-only engagements typically run 4–8 weeks. Brand plus website: 8–14 weeks. A full Foundry launch: 14–24 weeks. Catalyst retainers are ongoing with a minimum 3-month commitment. We scope timelines clearly upfront and don't give estimates without understanding what's actually required.
02
+
What does the kickoff process look like?
After a proposal is agreed, we schedule a kickoff session — typically 2–3 hours — where we deep-dive on your brand, audience, competitors, goals, and constraints. This session feeds directly into the strategy brief that drives all subsequent work. We ask hard questions early so we don't discover problems at delivery.
03
+
How many revision rounds are included?
We scope revision rounds into every engagement and tend to build in more than we expect to use. For brand work, typically two structured rounds after the initial concept presentation. For digital work, two rounds per major deliverable. Late-stage surprises are rare because we don't hide work until it's "finished."
04
+
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign mutual NDAs before discovery conversations when requested. We also default to treating everything shared in early conversations as confidential. We've never disclosed a client's concept or strategy to a third party, and we won't.
05
+
Who owns the work at the end of the project?
You do. All deliverables — brand assets, code, documentation, AI configurations — are transferred to you on completion. We retain no ongoing rights to the work. We may ask to feature the project in our portfolio, but that's always subject to your approval.
06
+
Can you work to tight or fixed deadlines?
Sometimes. If a hard deadline exists — a venue opening, a lease start date, a pre-sale campaign — we'll be honest at scoping about whether it's achievable and what trade-offs it requires. We won't rush work that will embarrass the client at launch. If the timeline is genuinely unworkable, we'll tell you before we take your deposit.

Getting Started
01
+
How do I get started?
Use the contact form — come with a rough brief of what you're building, where you're at, and what you're trying to solve. We'll respond within 48 hours and schedule a working session at no charge.
02
+
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. The initial strategy session is free. It's not a sales call — it's a working session where we align on the problem before discussing scope or cost. If we're not the right fit for what you're building, we'll tell you directly and, where we can, point you to someone who is.
03
+
What should I prepare for our first call?
Not much. A clear sense of what you're trying to build, who you think the customer is, and what "success" looks like in 12 months. If you have existing materials — a logo, a name, a deck, competitor references — bring them. If you don't, that's fine too.
04
+
Can I see more of your work before we talk?
RagingMonk publishes eight full case studies on the work page: Kitchai, BaaOinkMoo, Maestria, Auntie Tang, Silver Pearl, The Highline, Anna Wang and Barbie Bar. Each one covers the brand development, the marketing strategy, and the business outcome.
05
+
What if we're not the right fit after the first call?
We say so. We'd rather be direct early than waste your time — or ours. If the scope doesn't match our model, the budget isn't there, or the stage of the business isn't right for what we do, we'll tell you clearly and, where possible, suggest who might be a better fit.
